Would you like the Government to pay your employees wages?

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create fully-funded job placements for unemployed 16 to 24 year olds.

We are putting together a group of companies that are interested in offering placements under the scheme. A minimum of 30 placements are required, across the employer group, for us to apply for funding. Once our application has been submitted, no further placements can added. As such, we need to know by Friday 18th September whether you would like to apply under the scheme.

This is a unique opportunity to encourage young people into the industry, with all costs borne by the government. Starting in November, the scheme runs to the end of 2021 so there is scope to have 2 people in the same placement over the course of the year. Funding will be available for each job placement:

  • 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for a minimum of 25 hours a week
  • £1,500 for training costs
  • the associated employer National Insurance contributions
  • employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions

The job placements created with Kickstart funding must be new jobs. They must not replace existing or planned vacancies or cause existing employees or contractors to lose or reduce their employment. The roles you are bidding for must be minimum of 25 hours per week, for 6 months and paid at least the National Minimum Wage for their age group.

Please email us if you would like to take advantage of this scheme,
