Requesting surplus leather for art's sake

As you will be aware, in previous months the UK leather industry has donated surplus leather (referred to as off-cuts and scrap) for worthy causes.

We have received a request from a nursery school, and we're hoping to help the tiny tots get hands-on leather experience by utilising some of the quality leather which is discarded during your production process.

The nursery teacher states "The idea came to me because I recently watched a programme about leather production and apparently the leather waste just gets thrown away. We would use the the leather for arts and craft activities for the children. It is very beneficial for them to use a variety of different textures. The leather would be fabulous for collaging, junk modelling and textured art".

If you feel you can provide any surplus leather (anything is welcomed), please send to Leather Trade House, Kings Park Road, Northampton, NN3 6JD.

This will be a great opportunity for us to see how our proposed Hide & Seek online swap-shop model may work - let's get this premium British leather out there and into the hands of the leather workers of the future! Thank you.
