After almost five years as Business Development Manager of Leather UK, I am leaving for pastures new.
Having recently moved our family to central London due to my husband's new job, I wished to make the most of the City location and was intrigued by the many livery company halls I stroll past when walking the dog! The stars aligned and I am soon to become the first Digital & Communications Manager at the Dyers' Company.
I have enjoyed my time at Leather UK immensely and it will be sad to leave such a unique industry. After years of working in industry sectors where nothing is really made by hand, I was immediately struck by how passionate people are about their craft and how proud they are to be part of it, which I know is a cliche, but in this case it's true.
I've learned a huge amount, travelled to some wonderful places both at home and abroad, and made lots of new friends. I want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and making me feel part of something bigger.
I'm very proud of the work achieved by Leather UK during my tenure and I leave Leather UK in the best place to continue going from strength to strength. My last day is Friday 10th June,
Jessica Aiers
