Leather UK advises the industry's attention to the proposed UK migration policy post-Brexit

Please see the Immigration White Paper briefing note January 2019 from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

BEIS are looking to industry for opinion on the proposed migration policy and requested answers to a number of questions. They are also looking for direct engagement with businesses that will be affected by the proposed changes in migration policy. Please note that the migration policy would apply to all migrant workers, regardless of their origin.

From feedback received previously, the proposed policy would not work for the UK leather sector and could lead to significant staff shortages. As such, it is essential that we engage with BEIS and ensure that our concerns are made clear. If your business is likely to be affected by the change in migration policy, please respond as soon as possible, to the questions raised in the paper.
