India reduces export duty on leather

During the Budget 2019-20, which was announced last Friday, India has reduced export duty on EI Tanned Leather and Hides, Skins and  leathers, tanned and untanned, all sorts. Following are the new rates:

• Export duty has been reduced from 15% to NIL on EI tanned leather
• Export duty has been reduced from 60% to 40% on hides, skins and leather, tanned and untanned, all sorts.
