We recently met with a charity called the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) and wanted to let you know about the financial support they give to parents who work in the UK fashion and textile industry. This means, parents or carers working in all aspects of the UK leather industry can apply, if you need a little extra support to buy essential or specialist items for your children.
How they help
FTCT gives grants to buy essential and specialist items for children (aged 0-18) in families who are financially stretched. The grants can be used to buy essential clothing, school uniform, bedding, essential furniture and more. Find out more about what they fund.
Who can apply
To apply, one parent/carer must have worked for a UK fashion or textile company for at least one year, within the last nine years. This includes anyone who no longer works in the industry provided their employment was within the last nine years. Find out more about who can apply.
