Never one to turn down a party invitation, I was very pleased to recently attend a festive evening celebrating British Craftsmanship. QEST Alumni bookbinders Barnard & Westwood hosted an event to showcase a handful of QEST Alumni and Scholars, such as the talented Sabel Saddlery and Katherine Pogson. It was wonderful to see their work and hear how QEST contributed to their success.
QEST was established in 1990 in order to help support craftspeople of all ages sustain traditional British craftsmanship. To date, the Charity has awarded over £3.5 million to 442 craftspeople, aged between 17 - 58 across 130 craft disciplines!?
The next application period for Scholarships and Apprenticeships will be opened on the 8th January for one month and all applications are welcomed. QEST will start advertising the intake in the next few weeks, see @qestcraft.
