Riina O started out as a handmade luxury leather accessories brand, specializing in hand-stitched leather gloves, launched in 2013.
The brand was founded by Riina Õun, a multi-disciplinary designer, glove maker, and materials researcher with over 20 years of experience. Trained at the Estonian Academy of Arts and Central Saint Martins in London. Riina O was established responding to the popular demand for couture leather gloves.
Riina O has collaborated with numerous high-profile fashion houses, including Una Burke, Giles Deacon, and Meadham Kirchhoff, and its gloves have been worn by artists such as Whoopi Goldberg, Lady Gaga, Jessie Ware and many more.
Riina Õun is also a visiting lecturer teaching leather glove-making workshops at academic institutions around the world. A few of the universities include London College of Fashion, Royal College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Kolding Design Institute, Academia Koefia in Rome, Beijing Academy of Creative Arts, etc.
